Bike Walk Montana has a bill in front of the House Transportation Committee this Wednesday afternoon. HB-280, the Bicycle Clean-up Bill, could make some great and very needed improvements to the State’s current bicycle laws. The Bicycle Clean-up Bill seeks to remove outdated language related to bicycling in the State statutes and adopting current national practices. In this way, HB-280 will provide the clarification motorists and bicyclists need to create safer road conditions for both motorists and pedestrians. A summary of HB-280, provided by Bike Walk Montana, is below. You can also read the bill HERE.
